A little piece from Erin
For so many years, my life revolved around caring for others. Like many women, I poured my energy into family, work and responsibilities, often putting myself last. It wasn’t until I hit forty and started seeking adventure – whether that was a paddle on the water, a hike into the mountains, or saying yes to new travel experiences – that I realised just how important it is to carve out space for myself. Travel has quite literally changed my life, giving me confidence, freedom and joy I didn’t know I was missing.
That’s why I created Travel Her Way. This is a space dedicated to women who dream of exploring the world on their own terms. Here you’ll find inspiring stories, practical advice, group trip opportunities, and a community of women who understand what it means to balance life’s responsibilities while still craving adventure.
Whether you’re planning your first solo trip, joining a group of like-minded women for an unforgettable journey, or simply seeking inspiration to prioritise yourself again – Travel Her Way is about reminding you that travel isn’t selfish, it’s soul-filling. It’s about giving yourself permission to dream, to explore and to say yes to experiences that light you up.

Join our TRAVEL HER WAY Facebook Group
Travel Her Way is a community created for Aussie women who dream of exploring more, doing more and saying yes to adventures – big or small.
This group is about connection, inspiration and support. It’s a space where we share travel tips, stories, advice and opportunities designed with women in mind. Whether you’re planning a solo trip, curious about joining a women’s group adventure, or simply looking for encouragement to prioritise yourself again – you belong here.
I started this community because I know what it feels like to put everyone else first and leave yourself last. Travel has been life-changing for me, helping me rediscover my confidence, independence and joy. My hope is that this group inspires you to do the same in your own way.
So, join now, jump in! Ask questions, share your experiences, and connect with women who get it. Together, we’ll prove that travel isn’t selfish – it’s soul-filling.
