Sri Lanka, Just For Us – A Women’s Group Adventure
Fourteen days of ancient rock fortresses, misty tea trails, wild safari country and golden coastline – with a small group of women who get it.
NEW DATES
25 Oct – 7 Nov 2027 · 6-12 women · 14 days
About This Trip
You know that feeling when a trip has been sitting in the back of your mind for years? This is the one. Sri Lanka is wild, warm and endlessly photogenic – and travelling it with a small group of women who are just as up for the 5am hikes as the lazy beach afternoons changes everything.
Over fourteen days you’ll climb the legendary Sigiriya Rock Fortress at dawn, share a home-cooked lunch in a local village, witness the sacred Temple of the Tooth in Kandy and walk through working tea estates on the Pekoe Trail. You’ll ride one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world through the hill country to Ella, search for leopards and elephants on a jeep safari in Yala and unwind on the golden sand of Mirissa.
This is fourteen days of real adventure, woven through with the kind of moments you’ll be telling your friends about for years.
This is a genuinely small group – a maximum of twelve women, hosted personally by me from start to finish. We travel together with one English-speaking national guide, one driver and one driver assistant for the entire fourteen days, so there’s continuity, familiarity and someone who knows the island looking after every detail.
This trip is open exclusively to women aged 18 and over. It includes some genuinely active days – the Sigiriya climb, the Pekoe Trail walk and a pre-dawn 9km hike to World’s End – alongside plenty of slower, restorative time on the coast. If you’re reasonably comfortable walking and managing stairs, you’ll be absolutely fine.

FAQ
Who can come on this trip?
This is a women-only group adventure, open to women 18 and over. It’s a small group – max 12 – so you’ll get to know everyone properly over the two weeks.
Do I need to be super fit or experienced to do this trip?
You don’t need to be a marathon runner, but this itinerary does include some genuinely active days – climbing Sigiriya (200m, lots of steps), the Pekoe Trail walk through tea country and a pre-dawn hike to World’s End in Horton Plains (around 9km on uneven terrain). If you can comfortably walk for a few hours and manage stairs, you’ll be absolutely fine. If you have any medical conditions, mobility considerations, or concerns, just let me know when you book so we can plan accordingly.
What’s the accommodation like?
Comfortable 3-4 star hotels throughout, each with a pool and air-conditioning – properties have been specifically chosen with this in mind. Rooms are twin-share as standard, with a private bathroom in every room.
What’s included in the price?
Accommodation, all dinners and breakfasts, a couple of welcome and farewell dinners, all transport in a private air-conditioned vehicle, an English-speaking national guide throughout and every activity and entrance fee listed in the itinerary – including the Sigiriya climb, the village experience, temple visits, tea experiences, the hill-country train, the Yala safari and more.
What’s not included?
International flights, your Sri Lanka ETA visa (around USD $60 and I can help you sort this), travel insurance and personal spending like drinks with meals, tips (which are customary in Sri Lanka – I can guide you with this, too) and anything outside the listed itinerary.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes – comprehensive travel insurance is a strict requirement of this trip. It needs to cover trip cancellation, medical expenses and the more active elements of the itinerary like hiking and safari activities. I’ll need your policy details before final payment.
What if I don’t want to share a room?
No problem at all – a single supplement applies if you’d prefer your own room. Just let me know when you book.
What if I’m travelling solo and want to share a room?
I can match you with another solo traveller of a similar age and travel style. It’s a lovely way to make an instant travel buddy.
What happens if the group doesn’t fill?
This trip needs a minimum of six women to go ahead. A $300 deposit secures your place, with final balance due by 31st August 2027. If we don’t reach the minimum number and the trip has to be cancelled due to insufficient numbers, you’ll receive a full refund within seven days of 31st August 2027. Your payment is never at risk.
When do I need to pay by?
A $300 deposit secures your spot now. The final balance is due by 31st August 2027. Payment plans are available!
Will there be a guide the whole way?
Yes – an English-speaking national guide, driver and driver assistant are with the group for the entire 14 days.
What’s the deal with the batik workshop?
It’s a lovely added stop on the drive from Sigiriya to Kandy – you’ll watch local artisans hand-dye fabric using traditional wax-resist techniques and there’s time to browse and buy if you’d like a beautiful, authentic souvenir.
