Real regions. Real seasons. Real operator recommendations from someone who has made the journey many times over.

An absolutely wonderful experience, and one that I probably needed far more than I knew. A reset, refresh and revive for the busy lives we all lead.
Unreal experience, I loved the opportunity to get to know new people and try new things. Erin is amazing, everything was so well thought out and planned to perfection. I didn’t have to think about anything for the entire weekend.
Erin was not only an outstanding organiser but also a fantastic group leader. She struck the perfect balance between being incredibly organised and wonderfully relaxed. Her enthusiasm was infectious and her attention to detail ensured that every day felt special. It’s rare to find someone who can both meticulously plan and fully participate — but Erin did exactly that.
From the moment we engaged with Erin Parker, I knew we were in excellent hands. Erin was fully engaged throughout the entire journey, handling every enquiry immediately. She has a wonderful way of making everyone feel included. Every part of the itinerary was well organised. It was a truly magical week!
Erin has been a wonderful help in my initial planning. Her page, videos, lowdowns, and personal communication have given me loads of ideas and tips. I’m now feeling much more confident about planning a DIY trip — which will save me thousands!
Erin is passionate about authentic Lapland travel experiences. She has clearly put a lot of time and energy into Lapland travel and being able to tailor experiences to your needs.

Built by someone who has been there
I’m Erin – Melbourne-based Finnish Lapland specialist, group trip host and the founder of this resource. I’ve travelled to Finnish Lapland multiple times across winter and autumn seasons, worked directly with operators across Rovaniemi, Ruka, Kemijärvi, Levi, Saariselkä, Utsjoki and beyond and built the Lapland Lowdown to help thousands of long-haul travellers plan the trip of their lives.
But Finnish Lapland isn’t where my travel story started.
I’ve travelled to every continent except one (Antarctica…it is still on the list), spent two years living in London and exploring Europe extensively; and have travelled solo, with friends, with high school students (formerly a teacher), with young children, with teenagers and with grandparents in tow. As a family we’ve covered every state in Australia and between us we’ve built up decades of real travel experience across Europe and Asia. I know what it means to plan a trip around school holidays, around aging parents, around a budget that has to stretch and around the very particular joy of travelling solo as a woman who simply wants to go.
That breadth of experience is what this resource is built on. I know how different the planning looks depending on who you’re travelling with, where you’re coming from and what you actually want from the trip. I don’t write generic travel content. I write from the specific perspective of someone who has navigated the logistics, made the mistakes and figured out what genuinely works.
I also host small group adventure trips for women – because the best travel experiences happen when the planning is done properly and the people around you are equally invested in the adventure.
Everything on this site is built on real experience. No recycled content. No guesswork.
