I’ve spent years teaching and years travelling, and I’ve noticed something: confidence isn’t a personality trait. In this case, we’re talking about confidence in travel — and this is a skill that can be learned.
So I’m doing something new. Solo School: Malaysia is a small-group trip for women who want to travel the world on their own one day, but aren’t quite there yet. We’ll sightsee, eat well, and have adventures — all while building the exact skills you need to do it solo next time. Think of it as travel training wheels.

The Journey
Kuala Lumpur
Our orientation base. This is where the group settles in together, gets comfortable with the basics — getting around, ordering food, finding your feet — and starts to explore the city’s markets, food streets, and iconic sights.
Ipoh
A gentler, nature-filled stretch of the trip. Think cave temples, street art, incredible coffee, and genuine downtime — with the flexibility to do as much or as little as you like.
Penang
Our final stop, and where everything you’ve learned gets put into practice — culminating in a fun, hands-on activity in George Town before we make our way back to Kuala Lumpur.

Who is this trip for?
Australian women who want to build the confidence to travel solo, whether that’s a first overseas trip alone, or simply wanting to feel more capable and independent while travelling.
When is it running?
Solo School: Malaysia is timed for the Victorian School Winter Holidays, running in June/July 2027. Exact dates, pricing and the full itinerary will be released as enrolment progresses.
Do I need travel experience to join?
No. This trip is built specifically for women who are newer to solo travel or who haven’t travelled alone before. The itinerary is designed to build your confidence gradually, with full group support throughout.
Is this a booking or a deposit?
Not yet. We’re currently taking genuine expressions of interest to gauge numbers before enrolment officially opens. Registering your interest involves no payment or commitment.
