⭐ Early bird pricing: Twin share $1,250pp  •  Solo queen $1,350pp  •  Closes 31 May 2026 or when spots fill. Standard pricing from $1,350pp.

First – let’s talk about Kingscliff

Most people drive straight past Kingscliff on the way to the Gold Coast. That is their loss and quietly, your gain.

Kingscliff sits on the Northern NSW coast, just south of the Queensland border – a stretch of pristine beach, calm waterways, ancient mangroves and subtropical warmth that has somehow stayed genuinely unhurried. No theme parks, no high-rises, no noise. Just a beautiful village, excellent coffee, boutique shops, a protected marine reserve and one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in Australia.

In July, while most of the country is cold and grey, Kingscliff is sitting at 20-22°C. The ocean is clear and calm. The humpback whales are mid-migration up the east coast. The mangrove waterways are still and glassy in the morning. The light is extraordinary.

For Victorian women in particular – yes, there’s a flight involved. Gold Coast Airport is approximately 20 minutes from Kingscliff, with direct flights from Melbourne typically running $200-$400 return depending on how early you book. That one flight is how you get from a grey July in Victoria to warm coastal sunshine, sea turtles and a private pool. It’s totally worth it.

About this trip

Somewhere between gliding through ancient mangroves in the early morning stillness, floating face-to-face with a sea turtle in warm clear water and sitting around a long table with women you’ve only just met – something in you exhales. Properly.

The Kingscliff Women’s Adventure Weekender is two nights on the Northern NSW coast for women who want to move their body, restore their mind and spend time with people who get it. It is adventure and restoration in equal measure – active enough to feel alive, spacious enough to actually rest.

From Friday 17 to Sunday 19 July 2026, a maximum of four women will stay in a beautiful beachside house with a private pool, just a short stroll from the Kingscliff village and moments from the sand. We have two extraordinary water experiences curated for this group. Everything else – the shared meals, the free time, the slow mornings, the long conversations – unfolds around them.

This trip is fully hosted by Erin. You arrive. She handles everything else.

Is this trip for you?

This trip is for you if:

  • You’ve been craving time that is entirely, unapologetically yours
  • You want to do something active and memorable – not just sit by a pool
  • You’re comfortable in the water and open to new experiences
  • You’d love to meet other women who feel the same way you do about travel and adventure
  • You’re ready to escape a grey July and feel the sun on your face

This trip is probably not for you if:

  • You’re not comfortable in open water – although we will have wetsuits and flotation devices if required
  • You’re looking for a structured program with activities every hour
  • You need a completely solo experience with no shared spaces

What your investment covers

Let’s be direct about what you’re getting. At the early bird twin share price of $1,250 – the most affordable option – here’s what’s included:

  • Two nights in a home-away-from-home style house
  • A 90-minute guided SUP mindfulness experience through ancient mangroves
  • A 3-hour guided ocean adventure with all equipment, expert guides, sea turtle snorkel at a protected marine reserve, dolphin encounters and humpback whale watching in peak migration season
  • Two dinners and two breakfasts, all included and shared
  • The undivided attention of an experienced group trip host who has planned every detail so you don’t have to
  • A maximum of three other women – an experience that feels made for you, not for a crowd

Solo queen rooms (early bird $1,350) are available for those who want their own private space. All room types include everything above.

What this weekend looks like

Guided SUP mindfulness through the mangroves.

A 90-minute paddleboard experience through the ancient Cudgen Creek waterways – guided by breathwork, stillness and sensory awareness rather than pace or performance. You lie back on your board in the quiet of the mangroves, let the water hold you and breathe. No prior paddleboard experience needed. Timing is confirmed based on tides to give you the best possible conditions.

A guided ocean adventure – turtles, dolphins and humpback whales.

A three-hour experience in the warm waters off the Northern NSW coast. Snorkel the protected Cook Island Marine Reserve alongside resident Green, Hawksbill and Loggerhead Turtles. Encounter bottlenose dolphins in their own habitat. Watch humpback whales mid-migration – July puts you right in the middle of peak season on the east coast. All equipment provided, expert guides in the water with you. Timing confirmed based on sea conditions.

Two dinners and two breakfasts.

Shared meals made with care, eaten together around a real table. Friday and Saturday evenings. Saturday and Sunday mornings. Lunches are yours to explore – the village is a short stroll and the options are excellent.

Free time that is entirely yours.

Sleep in, swim, walk, wander, read, sit somewhere beautiful and breathe. Free time is not a gap in this itinerary – it is one of the things women say they needed most.

A genuinely slow Sunday morning.

A long last breakfast, a final swim if the mood takes you, pack up at your own pace. Drive or fly home feeling like yourself again.

FAQ

The activities

Do I need paddleboard or snorkelling experience?

No prior paddleboard experience is needed for the SUP mindfulness session – it is guided, slow-paced and focused on stillness rather than performance. The mangrove waterways are calm and sheltered. For the ocean adventure, you need to be a comfortable swimmer – snorkelling is on the surface and no underwater swimming is required. If you have any specific concerns, contact Erin before booking and she’ll talk you through it.

When exactly do the activities happen?

Both water experiences are scheduled for Saturday and/or Sunday, with exact timing confirmed closer to the trip based on tides and weather conditions. This is deliberate – working with the natural environment rather than against it means you get the best possible experience on the water. All guests will receive a detailed timing plan prior to departure.

What if the weather is bad?

Both activities have experienced guides who make safety and conditions calls on the day. In the unlikely event that an activity cannot proceed due to conditions, we will do our best to reschedule within the weekend or provide an alternative. Your safety always comes first.

Will I definitely see turtles, dolphins and whales?

Sea turtles are resident at the Cook Island Marine Reserve and sightings are extremely common – it is highly unusual to snorkel there without encountering at least one. Dolphins are regularly encountered in the local coastal waters. Whale sightings are subject to natural conditions – no one can guarantee them – but July is peak humpback migration season on the east coast and sighting rates are exceptionally high at this time of year.

Getting there

How do I get to Kingscliff?

Fly into Gold Coast Airport (OOL) – approximately 20 minutes from Kingscliff. Direct flights operate from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and other capitals. From Melbourne, return flights booked in advance typically run $200-$400. Alternatively, Kingscliff is approximately 10 hours drive from Sydney or 1.5 hours from Brisbane. Flights and transfers are not included in the trip price. We’ll connect all guests prior to departure so shared transfers can be arranged.

Is it worth flying from Victoria?

Yes – and here’s the honest case for it. July in Victoria means cold, grey days and limited outdoor options. July in Kingscliff means 20-22°C, a pristine beach, a private pool, sea turtles and humpback whales. A return flight booked a few months out adds roughly $300 to your overall cost. For a long weekend that genuinely restores you, that is excellent value.

Do I need a visa or special documentation?

No – Kingscliff is in New South Wales, Australia. No visa, passport or special documentation required for Australian residents. If you’re coming from overseas, then you will need to check border requirements.

The group and solo travel

I’m coming solo – will I fit in?

Solo travellers are the majority on these trips – and consistently say it was the best decision they made. With a maximum of six women, there is nowhere to hide and no way not to connect. You’ll share a house, water adventures, meals and some genuinely beautiful moments with women who showed up for the same reasons you did. By Sunday dinner you’ll feel like you’ve known each other for years.

Who will be on this trip?

Women who want more than a standard long weekend. Women who are ready to try something active and new, who value real connection and who understand the particular importance of occasionally doing something that is entirely their own. No fixed demographic – what the group shares is a willingness to show up.

Practicalities

Can dietary requirements be catered for?

Yes – let Erin know your requirements when you book and they will be taken care of. Common requirements including vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten-free and food allergies can be accommodated with advance notice.

What should I pack?

A detailed packing list will be sent to all confirmed guests before departure. The short version: swimwear, a light wetsuit or rash vest if you have one (wetsuits are provided for the ocean activity), layers for cool evenings, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen and a hat. July in Kingscliff is warm but evenings can be cool – think light jacket rather than heavy coat.

Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend it. Domestic travel insurance covering cancellation, medical and activity-related incidents is important for a trip that includes open water activities. Arrange it as soon as you book for maximum cover.

What is the cancellation policy?

Full details are on the WeTravel booking page. If minimum numbers of four paying guests are not reached by 12 June 2026, all deposits are refunded in full. We recommend travel insurance to cover personal cancellations.
